My Story

After many years assisting friends, neighbors, relatives and realtors who sought design and remodeling advice, I gave myself "permission" to pursue my passion full time.
Turns out my unconventional path has provided a unique background which sets me apart in the interior design field.  In addition to my art and design experience, I earned an undergraduate degree in civil engineering.  As a result, I am able to interpret blueprints, visualize designs 3-dimensionally, communicate effectively with contractors and raise critical questions during a remodeling project.  My clients may fully envision their finished project in advance through the use of product boards, drawings and CAD (computer-aided design tools).

With ten years of sales, service and management experience at IBM, I embrace a professional commitment to excellence and customer service, and utilize my strong communication and listening skills in my client relationships.  I understand teamwork, project management and attention to detail.
On the decorating front, in October 2013, I was selected as one of ten designers nationwide to attend Baker Furniture's first ever Designer Signature Event.  Two weeks prior to the Jacques Garcia Collection unveiling at High Point Market, ten designers were offered a  “sneak peek” at Baker's highly anticipated line to offer their feedback to Baker's Executive Management Team.  The insider opportunity to meet the craftsmen and artists behind a top furniture manufacturer was a trip highlight.  Another highlight, was meeting elite designers from around the country and sharing ideas and experiences.  I was truly honored to represent Dallas-Fort Worth.

On the staging front, personally trained by Barb Schwarz, the “creator of Home Staging”, I earned certification as an Accredited Staging Professional, and have served four years on the Board of the Dallas-Ft Worth Chapter of Accredited Staging Professionals.

As an interior designer, general contractor and stager, I am able to combine my previous professional skills and experience with my artistic intuition.  I am thrilled to be pursuing my passion which benefits us both.  I love what I do … my heart is in my vocation.  I work diligently, enthusiastically, passionately …. assisting my clients with the reinvention of their interior space whether our goal is selling their current house or creating a beautiful and livable new home.
